Hello to the family. My husband Vinko and I were so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. We met Carolyn and Dave through John and Vicki Bisset and enjoyed a coach trip with them through Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. We so enjoyed Dave's quiet presence during that trip. Thank you all so much for your kind words, prayers, thoughts, memories, and condolences. Each message has meant so much to our family and has brought us comfort, peace, moments of laughter and joy. Reading your memories and hearing how much my father meant to so many people has reminded us just how deeply he touched the lives of those around him. He was a truly remarkable man - a loving father, an incredibly proud grandfather, and someone who brought warmth and kindness to so many. He meant the world to our family, and his absence will be felt deeply by all of us and by everyone who knew and loved him. If you would like to connect with us personally, please know how much that would mean to us. We would love to spend time together, share stories, and remember him. Please feel free to reach out to my mother, Carolyn; my daughters, Megan and Lindsay; my brother, Steve; or Jill and I to arrange a time to get together for a drink, a snack, lunch, dinner, or simply to visit. Some of you may not have heard but we are planning to develop a collage of photos of my father over the years and turn it into a puzzle. My father loved doing puzzles, especially at the cottage, so this feels like a very fitting way to honor his memory. We encourage everyone to share photos and any memories that go with them so they can be considered for this special project. My father lived a long and full life, so the age of the pictures does not matter - all of them will be welcomed and thoughtfully considered for the memorial puzzle.

Dave was a remarkable man and we will always cherish our friendship that began playing volleyball on the beach in Cozumel, Mexico. We feel very previleged to have known him throughout the last 45-years. Dave's character, wisdom, and warm humor left a meaningful mark on all who knew him. Our memories of Dave go back to 1963, and are too many to include here, but wonderful visits back and forth, travels together, visiting their island, curling, golfing and cross country skiing, and many many wonderful meals together, are but some of them. We are saddened by the passing of Dave. We hold many fond memories of Friday night curling and the Glencoe bonspiels, time at the cottage with story telling,cards and fishing stories. I have great memories of the numerous snowmobile trips over the years. Dave was always eager to regardless of the climate or the place. He will be greatly missed but always remembered. I am so very sorry for your loss. I always cherished my time with Dave, whether we were fixing up the cabin, building a septic system, fishing, doing a puzzle, or simply visiting over a beverage. He was a brilliant, compassionate, and patient man who made everyone around him feel comfortable and valued.
