Thank you all so much for your kind words, prayers, thoughts, memories, and condolences. Each message has meant so much to our family and has brought us comfort, peace, moments of laughter and joy. Reading your memories and hearing how much my father meant to so many people has reminded us just how deeply he touched the lives of those around him.
He was a truly remarkable man - a loving father, an incredibly proud grandfather, and someone who brought warmth and kindness to so many. He meant the world to our family, and his absence will be felt deeply by all of us and by everyone who knew and loved him.
If you would like to connect with us personally, please know how much that would mean to us. We would love to spend time together, share stories, and remember him. Please feel free to reach out to my mother, Carolyn; my daughters, Megan and Lindsay; my brother, Steve; or Jill and I to arrange a time to get together for a drink, a snack, lunch, dinner, or simply to visit.
Some of you may not have heard but we are planning to develop a collage of photos of my father over the years and turn it into a puzzle. My father loved doing puzzles, especially at the cottage, so this feels like a very fitting way to honor his memory. We encourage everyone to share photos and any memories that go with them so they can be considered for this special project. My father lived a long and full life, so the age of the pictures does not matter - all of them will be welcomed and thoughtfully considered for the memorial puzzle.
