Obituary of Bernetta Laurine Ruby

Bernetta Laurine Ruby (nee Kropf), aged 93, was peacefully embraced in Jesus’ arms on Sunday, April 13, 2025. She displayed God’s love to all, through her kindness, servanthood and faithful prayers. Survived by daughters Cynthia Ruby-Lewis (Ray), Susan Lister (Brad) and Sherri (Jim). Cherished grandmother of Jen, Mat (Diana), Josh (Kasia) Lewis, Katie Lister (Sean), Jenny Lister, Evan (Ali), Anya and Ethan. Loving great-grandmother of Emma and Nicole. Predeceased by parents John and Mary Ann Kropf, devoted husband Ralph Ruby and grand-daughter Gabrielle. Survived by brother Elton and sister Mary Ellen Gingerich (Steve) and sister-in-law Jean Shantz. Predeceased by siblings Irene, Barbara, Idella, Mervin, Earl, Janet, Clarence and their spouses. Born in Wellesley Township, she lived over 50 years in Chatham and was a member of Gregory Dr. Alliance Church. Well done, good and faithful servant!
