Obituary of Casparus Vanderhelm

Caspar of London, Ontario passed away peacefully with family by his side on June 13, 2025 at the age of 93. Beloved husband to the late Susie Vanderhelm of 69 years. Loving mother of Jean (Ben) and Yvonne (Bob). Proud Opa of Victoria (Joe), Linda (Don), Jennifer (Kelly), Timothy, and Nathan. Great Opa to Jordan, Steven, Shawn, Avery, Reid. Great great Oma to Aurora. Predeceased by his parents. Caspar will be missed by his many brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and friends both in Canada and the Netherlands. Caspar was a retiree of the Diesel Division of General Motors where he worked 25 years and a proud member of the Dutch Canadian Club. Caspar had a lifelong passion for gardening, baking and travelling. Those who knew Caspar will remember his sense of humour, gift for storytelling and deep appreciation for the people and experiences that shaped his life. The family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Mount Hope MV5 for their care and support. Keeping with Caspar's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will occur at a later date.
