Celebration of Life and Visitation
Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Visitation will be held in the narthex of St. John the Divine Roman Catholic Church, 390 Base Line Rd. W, London ON from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a “Celebration Of Life” Mass in the Church.
Obituary of Frank Dewling
It is with deep sadness we announce that Frank Dewling passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 5, 2025 in his 88th year.
Born in Halifax, N.S. In 1937, Frank built a life filled with love, learning and dedication. He was married for 62 years to the love of his life, Olga (Woronchak). Together they had three children: Melanie (John Haydon), Natalie (Mike Makuch), Shane (Sheri Gammon), grandchildren, Roman (Rochelle) Makuch, Andrew Makuch, Zoey Dewling, Jack Dewling. Frank’s family was his joy and his greatest source of pride.
His career reflected his passion for education. He taught business for two years in Hamilton. Then for 30 years, he taught and was Head of the Business Dept. at Nelson High School, Burlington, West Elgin Secondary School, West Lorne and Arthur Voaden Secondary School, St. Thomas. Some of his inspired students ended up in Silicone Valley.
In his personal life, Frank enjoyed keeping up with the latest in technology and he found relaxation in gardening. He also had a penchant for bright colours, red, yellow, bright blue, which reflected in the clothes he wore. Frank will be remembered for his kindness, humour and love that he shared with his family and friends. His legacy will be in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice- Dr. Mike, Amy, Jenn, Thomas, Victor, Alexis and the numerous others who provided compassionate care. Special thanks to Dr. Berry and Dr. Janes from UH. We are also deeply grateful to Cheryl Danyluk, Wanda & Ivan Graham, Pam & Kirk McClennan, Bob Rendall and Tina Hickey for their kind support.
