June 8, 1976 – October 2, 2025 It is with great sadness that the family of Shawn Michael Draper announces his passing on October 2, 2025, at London Health Sciences – University Hospital, at the age of 49. Born on June 8, 1976, Shawn was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend. He was predeceased by his father, Leslie Draper, and is survived by his devoted mother, Debra Draper. Shawn was the proud and loving father of Hunter, who was truly the joy of his life. He found immense pride and happiness in watching Hunter grow and thrive, always cherishing every moment they shared. Shawn also shared a continued connection with Hunter’s mother, Michelle Green, united in their love and care for their son. A caring brother, Shawn leaves behind his siblings: Scott (Angela), Erin (Mark), Ryan (Melissa), and Caitlin (Brian). He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Shawn had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found peace in fishing, camaraderie at the gun club, and joy in hunting. He was known for his kindness, his easygoing nature. His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him. In keeping with his wishes, Shawn will be cremated, and a private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to spend time with your loved ones, go fishing, or share a kind word with someone in need — just as Shawn would have done. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many healthcare professionals who supported Shawn throughout his journey — both in the community and at Meaford Hospital, and especially during his final days at London Health Sciences – University Hospital. Your compassion and care meant more than words can express.
