In Loving Memory of Leslie Jones With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our father, beloved husband, and grandfather. He leaves behind his devoted wife of over 50 years, Eileen Jones; his loving children Rene Brown, Sharon Jones Swance, Chris Jones, Michelle Vey, David Jones; and his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom he adored beyond measure and his brother Ivor Jones. His presence was a blessing in our lives, and his memory will live on in each of us. Goodbye to a Father Who Meant the World It’s almost impossible to put into words how to say goodbye to someone who was such a huge part of our lives. But peacefully, with our mother by his side, our dad took his last breath. His long and brave battle has come to an end. We will forever cherish the sound of his laughter, his voice ringing out in song, and the way he could bring joy to any room. We can still see him dancing in the kitchen with Mom, lost in their own world, as if time stood still. Those simple, beautiful moments will stay with us always. Dad had a deep love for his work as an engineer, a passion that took him all over the world. But there was no place he loved more than home, especially when he was with Mom. Their love, built over more than 50 years, was rare, beautiful, strong, unwavering, and true. Even in his final days, he made sure to sing to her, reminding her, “You are my sunshine.” That love, that tenderness, will forever be a part of who we are. There are no words that can fully capture the essence of the man he was, the loving husband, the caring father, the eternal optimist, the one who made us laugh, and the one whose heart was as big as the world he traveled. He will be missed more than we could ever express, but we find peace knowing that he is no longer in pain. He’s left behind a legacy of love, joy, and laughter. Rest easy, Dad.
