Obituary of Michael Edwards Ambrose

“ I Did it My Way” On October 6th 2025 surrounded by his loving family Michael Edwards Ambrose at age 65, passed away on his own terms after a 4 year battle with ALS. He fought the hardest fight of his life. Mike is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 22 years Sherry Ambrose. He is the beloved son of Irene McCallum (Jimmy McCallum) of Leith, Scotland and predeceased by his father Lawrence Ambrose. Beloved father of Savannah Allen (Judson) Mitchell Ambrose and Michael (Ainsley) Ambrose and by his loving 10 grandchildren. Mike is survived by his stepchildren Kim (Bill) Holcombe and Trevor (Sheila) Shadbolt and was Papa Mike to six adult grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Irene Robinson. Predeceased by his brothers Joe (2010) and Lawrence (2024) Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be dearly missed by many brothers and sister in laws, as well as family and friends too many to mention. We would like to thank the palliative team of Dr Hamilton a special thank you to Dr Stack and Mike’s nurse Angelica. Thank you to Dr Bezaire and Clare for all their help and care. A celebration of life for Mike will be Saturday October 18th at the Moose Lodge 35 Charterhouse Cres from 1-4pm. All donations we ask to go to ALS Canada.
