Obituary of Pete Devries

November 4, 1936 - October 10, 2025 With full hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beloved Dad. He lived 88 rich years filled with love, laughter and unwavering devotion to the people and things he cared about most. He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures - spending time with family and friends, sharing a good meal, and never missing a chance to sit around a table with a deck of cards. He was pre-deceased by his wife Rose (1997), Marjorie (2020) and his sister Shirley (1998). He will be greatly missed by his daughters; Sheena Gilmar (Keith), Sherry Maltby (Rich) and Sheila Ford (Steve). His grandchildren; Cody (Laura), Dillon (Emma), Shae, Jesse, Cayla (Brooks), Aaron, Brooke (Tyler), Sarah, Lauren (Jessie), Paige (Ryan) and four great grandsons. His siblings; Ann Smith, Alice Cann (Ray), John Devries (Janis), Al Devries (Lynn) and best friends Gary and Harry. The family of Pete Devries would like to invite friends and family to join us for a celebration of life to be held Sunday,June 7,2026 from 2-4pm at Southgate Centre 191 Old Wellington St. S in Woodstock. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the love he gave and the memories we will hold close forever.
