Obituary of Leslie Dianne Glennie

The family announces with profound sadness the passing of Leslie D. Glennie. Predeceased by Mother Dorothy (1998), Father Leslie (2001) and brother John (2022). Leslie is survived by her twin sister Lynda, Lynda’s husband Stan, cherished nephew Ryan and cousin Darryl Scott. Leslie was a M.S.W./R.S.W. practicing for forty-two years, in varying settings, in dedicated service to her clients. Leslie had a lifelong love of music. In her younger years she was an accomplished musician (drummer) who played in various bands and venues. A generous soul, she spent many years watching over Mom and Dad as they aged and cared for John through his LTC placement until his death. Leslie endured significant chronic pain due to back and spinal injuries for the last few decades. She worked to maintain independence until her mobility was severely limited. Additional medical problems led to further complications. Leslie will be remembered not for her limitations but for the joy, laughter, kindness, caring and compassion she afforded others. Lynda, in particular, will miss the knowing glances, shared laughter and silliness the twins were known to enjoy when they spent time together. We had our own language and sometimes we laughed until we cried. Leslie will always be in our hearts and minds. Until we meet again. The family would like to thank Debbie, Cat and family for their generosity in watching over Leslie. In addition, many thanks to her wonderful neighbours, Jenny and Lou Ann. As per Leslie’s wishes cremation has occurred and there will be no service.
