Obituary of David Hugh Rush

RUSH, David Hugh March 1938-January 2026 of London, Ont. Passing peacefully,surrounded by his three surviving children, David Rush reunited with his late beloved wife Margaret(2017) of 58 years, his late daughters, Robin Holmes(2019), Pamela Gorrie(2021) and late grandson Brandon Gorrie(2016). Dearly loved father of Greg(Kim), Shelly(Jeff), Sherry(Phil), Bryan Gorrie,nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. First born to Charles and Joyce(Tweed) of Hamilton, Ont. Dear brother to John, Debbie(Randy) Stapleton, brother in law to Bruce( Brenda) Ireland, Karen(Vince) DiPersio. David grew up with a strong pioneering work ethic and a deep love of learning. His greatest pride was in his family of five children that he and Margaret raised on their hobby farm. David and Margaret loved to travel and explore the continent in their camper van. He was a humble man who was very self assured in his ability to tackle any situation that came his way. He had a quiet sense of humour with a “look” that said more than words ever could. David was a true gentleman who was open minded and interested in the people he met. “ Thank you for being the best father anyone could ask for. Thank you for an incredible childhood filled with love, laughter, guidance, remedies ( that worked!) and strong family bonds. We love you Dad and will continue to always be the best of you.” A special Thank You to the staff at Southbridge in South London for their care, compassion, sense of humour and fun they showed towards our dad. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
