Brian and Family..I was shocked and devastated to hear from you on the passing of Donna..My deepest and sincere condolences to you and your family.
I have been corresponding with her for many years by Facebook. She told me about her health challenges but she always had a positive outlook which she always passed on to those she held dear..I have many wonderful and fun memories of her and our get togethers when we worked with the provincial government at the Sir Richard Squires Building,Corner Brook. When she moved away we lost touch but through Facebook we reconnected and caught up on each other’s lives and families.I was so happy that I got to meet up with You and Donna when I visited friends in Florida a number of years ago.I’ll always remember her beautiful smile, and wit .Her passion for knowledge and truth and passing it on through her writings always amazed me .Donna will be thoroughly missed ,loved and memories of her will live on in our hearts..God Bless you all in your time of sorrow and loss..Take care ..Judy and Bill Wheeler.

I am so happy that we got to spend so much time together in Florida. Over the few years that I knew her, I really appreciated our chats, especially those long ones when we were hiding from strong scents! I will miss her very much, and am better for having met her.

I was so saddened to hear of Donna's death. I have many fond memories of working with her and how she always brought lots of energy, clarity, humour and sound judgment to her work. Donna had a very positive influence on all that she did and on those she met. A sparkling personality if ever there was one. Pamela and I were very glad to have visited with you in Newfoundland some years ago and have Donna's copy of Wildflowers of Newfoundland that she most graciously gave us. Please be assured of our prayers for you all as you let go of Donna's physical presence, yet knowing she will be with you always.

Sincerest heartfelt sympathies to Wayne and family. Donna lit up a room whenever she entered it with her warm smile and bright shining eyes. Your day was always better after you had dealt with her. What a loss for this world, Wayne, and their family! What a gain for all the angels in Heaven! Chin up, Wayne, she is probably up there making things better for all the Saints and angels, and watching over you and your family until you meet again.

Brian and family our hearts are broken thinking about the loss of Donna. Such a strong yet gentle soul. She was a friend to all and an advocate for many. She just didn’t exist in this world she lived in this world. Throughout her many health challenges she dressed up and showed up.. beautifully. She loved you to the moon. You were her rock she would say. (Just don’t walk on the bath mat after it’s vacuumed! )Fred and I are so saddened to hear of her passing albeit so blessed to have known her. To have many long discussions with her. To laugh and dance with her. A beautiful voice. A beautiful mind. A beautiful lady whom we will always cherish our time together with you both. Soldier on my friend. It would be her wish. Love and hugs Fred and Judy

Dear Brian
We were so heartbroken to hear of Donna’s passing and to know of the profound grief you are feeling on losing your soulmate.
Passing away on the eve of International Women’s Day is not loss on me. Donna epitomized a strong woman with so many accomplishments in her personal and work life. So many adjectives could describe her…..compassionate, loving, diligent, loyal and a promoter of social justice.
Wayne and I so enjoyed our time with you both in Florida and when you’d come to NL.The laughs, the debates, the meals, listening to Donna sing….so many wonderful memories!
Our sympathy to you and all the family my friend, and we hope to see you soon to give you a hug. In the meantime, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Words can't express how deeply sad we feel for you. Donna will always be remembered as one of our favorite Lincolnshire friends. The first time I saw her she sang my favorite song "House of the Rising Sun" in a concert. She was a woman of many talents. In later years we shared favorite meals and long chats. She will be missed beyond measure. Hugs to all.

A beautiful soul has left us with wonderful memories of a life well lived. Our hearts are with Brian and family during this difficult time. Brian, may the memories of the life you shared with your soul mate bring you comfort in the days ahead as Donna lives forever in the memories you created together. Donna, a force to be reckoned with, always willing to take up the mantra in a fight for others and justice. Despite the challenges of life, Donna lived life to the fullest with her faithful husband and companion. Her love of family a driving force in her life, her infectious laugh, quest for knowledge and her kindness were an inspiration to many. We shared many happy times together, whether sharing food or shooting the breeze. It was always a pleasure to be in the company of Donna and Brian. Rest easy our friend, until we meet again. We will miss you but carry you in our hearts with wonderful memories to remind us of how special you were to us and all those who were blessed to call you their friend.

Suzanne and I worked with Donna at Canada's largest forensic accounting firm. She always brought a smile to our faces with her positive outlook on life with that east-coast humour. More importantly, we shared raising children with intellectual disabilities - a cause that we are still working with through Special Olympics. Our condolences and hugs to Brian and their families. She will be missed but never forgotten.
