Obituary of William Francis Glen Wilson

Bill Wilson (1938 – 2026) passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Parkwood (palliative care) in London, Ontario in his 87th year. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife Hilde (2020) and parents Harry and Harrietta. Forever loved father of Debby (Les) and Teddy. Cherished brother of Glenda (late husband Murray) and uncle of Phillip. Beloved grandfather of Ryan, Jessica, Nick and Julia. Will be missed by relatives in Canada, Germany and Scotland, as well as his dog Nola. Dad will be overjoyed to be reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Hilde and rescue dogs. Dad was a sergeant with the military (1RCHA). He was stationed at bases including Gagetown, Shiloh, Petawawa, London, and Hemer and Lahr in Germany. He and Hilde met while he was stationed in Germany and spent many happy years working there and travelling with the family (usually by caravan) throughout Europe. Lots of happy moments were spent visiting relatives and friends, camping, skiing, swimming, sunning and sightseeing. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Victoria Hospital and Parkwood for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in late spring.
