During our last trip to Haliburton our Dad took out the canoe on his own, to take photos of the birds on a nearby island. Sitting near the dock we watched as he returned completely water logged and breathless. He got too close to the birds and they dove at him causing him to tip the canoe. By some miracle he managed to get himself back into the canoe-- he did not get the shot, nor did his camera survive (ha!). We are excited to bring him back to rest in his favorite place, to be with us while we make new memories and reflect on the old ones fondly.
