Peacefully in his sleep on May 10, 2026 Cliff left his earthly home to go be with his wife Ilene(nee Kaufmann)on Mother's day in his 92nd year. Loving and devoted father to Carolyn (Doug) Mulholland, Karen(Kim) Malcolm, Charlene Mauthe, and Gerald (Elaine) Mauthe. Proud grandfather to Paige(Ryan), Corey, Dylan (Jenn), Chelsey (Taylor), Megan, Alicia and Matthew. Very proud great grandfather to Connor, Kenny and Kayla. Survived by his sister Ruth (Walt) Mason and sister-in-law Doris Mauthe. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters June (d Donald ) Waldick, Shirley Robinson, brothers Hugh Mauthe and Harold Mauthe. Nieces Pamela Mason and Lori Gallant. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Vera (Pettit) Mauthe. Father in law and mother in law John and Elsie Kaufmann. Cliff was an active member of St Peter's Lutheran Church Rhineland and then Peace Lutheran Church in Tillsonburg which he helped build. Yearly family dinners out at various locations with their children, spouses and grandchildren were something that mom and dad were proud to have made a tradition of for more than 45 years. Cliff loved all his jobs.. Borden's, Eber-East and Guardian Industries from which he retired at the age of 61 years. Cliff took up wood working after retiring, and he made beautiful furniture for his family and to sell. He also loved the outdoors - raising horses and chickens, chopping wood and travelling across Canada with his family camping all the way. He was also very proud of the three homes that he helped design and build..#19 highway, #3 highway which was his pride and joy hobby farm with his horses, cows, and chickens. His final house was on James Ave in Tillsonburg. Dad's final home was in Aylmer at Age Care Nursing Home where he made a lot of friends. He exercised and played cards and balloon volleyball. A special thank you to all of the staff at Age Care for taking really good care of our dad. Also, a special thank you Dr. Russell, Dr. Abdalla, Dr Hsia and Dr. Lamb.
