Mary was predeceased by her loving parents, John and Katerina Tiushkewicz, also dearest sister to Peter and to the late John and George Tiushkewicz. Mary also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Arriving from Belarus at the age of 3, Mary called Iroquois Falls home. Throughout her career, she worked as a Bookkeeper and in the kitchen at Anson Hospital. She was an active member of the community, serving in the Women’s Auxiliary Club and the Legion. She volunteered at the hospital’s Tuck Shop and helped deliver Meals on Wheels. Mary loved hockey, she was a Maple Leaf fan and attended all the hockey games at the Igloo. She especially loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at hockey, soccer, dance and cheerleading events. She loved reading, bowling and dancing, and enjoyed watching her children dance as they grew up. Quiet, yet friendly, easygoing, and very sociable, family and friends meant everything to her. “We are truly going to miss your beautiful smile, Mom!” Special thanks to the outstanding staff at Henley Place for their excellent care of Mary. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and further details will be shared when available.
