Obituary of Neil Smaldon

It is with great sadness that the family of Neil Smaldon announce his sudden and unexpected passing on June 7th, 2026, at the age of 44. We have lost a “Beautimus” soul. Neil was the devoted and loving husband and best friend of Chrystal Smaldon. He was a dedicated and supportive father to Alannah and Kaine Smaldon, and his fur baby Lennon. Predeceased by his Dad Geoff Smaldon (2016). Survived by his loving Mum Ann Smaldon and sisters Karen and Sarah. Dearly loved uncle of Addison Pratt. Neil will be sorely missed by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Honorary brother to Rob and Tina, Kevin and Jacqui, Chris and Mallory and Skip. He earned the title of Uncle Neil to many others. Neil had a large circle of close friends that he loved dearly. You all know who you are. Neil was a very hardworking, dedicated, admired individual, who was a jack of all trades and loved sharing his knowledge. His hobbies of golfing, fishing, camping, music, darts, happy hours and making short stories long, are just some of his joys, which many of you have shared. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life in honour of this amazing man will be held on June 20,2026 at the Moose Lodge on Charterhouse Cres from 1PM - 4PM. “Let’s Drink about it” In lieu of flowers, his family asks that you consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
