"Maybe it’s a Manning trait that I have memories and music tied together but I remember in the late sixties our high school musical was Bye Bye Birdie. After a long day of rehearsals, I had all these “catchy tunes” running around my head and the cousins were getting together that evening. I told Rosie that there was a song about her in the show and she was eager to hear it. “Everything is rosy, since I found my Rosie…with a girl like Rosie, how can I feel blue?” Later on when I learned more about the context/lyrics it wasn’t that appropriate for a little girl but it did make her feel special in that moment! We will treasure all those warm family memories forever.

I'll always remember her as a beautiful soul who very much cared and loved her sisters, nieces and nephews. You will be missed but never forgotten. We will always remember you with the memories you left behind.

Aunt Rosie shared a special bond with every one of her nieces and nephews. She had an incredible way of making each of us feel like we were the most important person in the room. When you were with her, you had all of her attention, all of the time, and that was a gift.
When I was a kid, she had this trendy suede or leather jacket and I was convinced she was the coolest person on the planet. When I asked her how old she was, she told me to guess. I can't remember what I had said, but it was clearly younger than she was because she laughed and replied, " Well, aren't you my new best friend?!" As a child, I took her words to heart. I couldn't believe that I had the coolest best friend on the planet! As I got older, I understood the humour, but I also realize that the feeling she gave me was real. She made each of us believe we mattered, and we did.
Rest peacefully, Aunt Rosie. Thank you for making all of us feel like your favorite.

I loved my Aunt Rosie so much, I will never let go of her in my heart. She taught me how to be a wonderful Aunt and I try so hard to be even half the Aunt she was to my own nieces and nephews.

When I think of Rosie I think of her shy, quiet smile. She was a warm and loving human being. I remember when she was born just how excited I was to have a new, baby cousin to cuddle. She has left us much too soon and I’m sure she was welcomed by her mom, dad, brother and sister. Her cousins, Susan and Paul, will also be there for her. Rest in Peace, Rosie.
