Obituary of Douglas Wayne Langhorn

It is with great sadness but also tremendous peace that the family of Douglas Wayne Langhorn announce his passing on July 19, 2026 at home surrounded by family through a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Marcie of nearly 56 years, his children Doug (Amy), Tara (Cliff) and Darren (Marni) along with his grandchildren Andrew, Megan, Matthew, Kaitlin, Daniel, David and Michael. He was known for his smile, warmth and witty jokes. Doug lived a full life enjoying camping, fishing, sports, his Montreal Canadiens and deeply loved his family. He took great pride in supporting and attending his grandchildren’s activities and cherished his cottage time with family. In keeping with Doug’s wishes, a private family service will take place. The kindness and care shown to our family is overwhelming and the many prayers during this difficult time are greatly appreciated. “Come to me all who are weary … and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
