Obituary of Brian Charles Wimperis

Brian Wimperis, beloved son of Marjorie Wimperis, passed away after a brief illness on July 25, 2026, at the age of 64. Those who knew him knew a man who was simply full of life. He was quick to smile, quicker to laugh, and never happier than when he was surrounded by the people he loved. Brian had a gift for making people feel welcome. He was kind and generous, easy to be around, and genuinely liked by everyone who crossed his path. He also had a wickedly funny, wonderfully inappropriate sense of humour, the kind that could catch you off guard and leave the whole room laughing. He never met a moment he couldn’t lighten, he loved nothing more than getting a laugh out of the people around him. It’s no exaggeration to say that to know Brian was to love him. At the heart of it all was his marriage to Kym, his wife and best friend. Their bond was the kind that was admired by all who knew them. Losing her in 2015 left a space that never quite filled. Those who loved Brian find comfort in knowing that they are together again. He found his greatest peace on the water. Brian loved to fish, and some of his happiest moments were spent with a line in the water, a cold beer in hand, and his best friends alongside him. Whether he was reeling one in or just soaking up the good company, it was where he was most himself. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his cherished stepchildren, Dustin and Jordyn; Grandchildren Levi and Lennen, his brothers Ron (Sharon), Jim (Sandra), and Dan (Cheryl); his brothers-and-sisters-in-law Kelley (Bruce), Karen, and David (Betsy); and his many nieces and nephews: Laura, Kristen, Kevin, Eric, Brett, Matt, Tanya, Tammy, William. Brian also leaves behind countless friends and extended family who will carry his memory forward. He was predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend Kym (2015); his father Jim (2001); his father-in-law George (2018) and mother in law Eileen (2001). The family will be gathering for a private family funeral. A Celebration of Life to be held at the Marconi Club, London on August 23rd, 2026 from 1pm – 4pm where all who loved him can gather and celebrate the joy Brian brought into the world. Please join us.
