Obituary of Dale Noonan

Lilian Dale Noonan (née Wilson) Lilian Dale Noonan — known to everyone simply as Dale — passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, in London, Ontario, at the age of 76. Born on October 4 1949, and raised in London, Dale lived her entire life rooted in the community she loved, surrounded by family who loved her right back. Dale was a devoted mother to Cindy Cleary (Shawn) and Michael “Mike” Noonan (Teresa), and a cherished grandmother to Jamie, Erin, Kennedy, Colton, and Mac, as well as great-grandmother to Leni and Karter. She shared a lasting bond of love and friendship with David Noonan and Nancy Anderson. She was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Jack Wilson, and her beloved brothers, John and Richard. Those who knew Dale knew her as endlessly kind, quick to find the good in anyone, and always looking for a way to dote on the people she loved. She had a wonderful sense of humor, one that never took itself too seriously, and more often than not, she was the good-natured butt of the joke herself, happy to let the family laugh at her expense as much as with her. She was sharp as a tack when it came to puzzles, a longtime fan of classic game shows, and famously never met a piece of fast food or junk food she didn’t enjoy. Dale was also a keeper of memories, in the truest sense. Cards, photos, gifts, concert programs, even restaurant menus, nothing was too small to save if it meant holding onto a moment with the people she loved. She loved sharing a drink with the people around her, even if the beer had gone warm, and she never lost her love for the thrill of a casino night, win or (much more often) lose. She always loved a phone call from family and friends to check in, pen in hand, writing down every detail so she wouldn’t miss a thing, a small ritual that said everything about how much she cared. Dale’s warmth, curiosity, and generosity touched everyone who knew her, and she leaves behind a family that was, and always will be, the center of her world. A celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Sunday, August 23rd, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, at Forked River Brewery, 45 Pacific Court, in London, Ontario.
