Obituary of Glen Francis Costello

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Glen Francis Costello (Glenny), on April 10, 2024 at his residence, in his 67th year. Born in Windsor, Ontario July 22, 1957, Glen had been a long-time resident of London. Predeceased by his parents, Leo Dalton Costello and Virginia (nee Meloche), and his siblings John Costello, Kathleen Costello, Joyce Brown, and Daniel Costello. He is survived by his siblings Mary Anne Williams (Bob), Charmaine Costello, Carmen Costello-Parker (John), and James Costello and his nieces and nephews Shannon, Damian, Terri-Ann, Jason, Rob, Dawn-Marie, Ryan, Meagan, Daylon and Jordan. Dear brother-in-law of Linda Obermaier. Glen was the seventh born child of a family of nine children. He was upbeat, energetic, resilient, proud, loved music and lived an active life. His sense of humour and faith in God served him well in life. He will be missed by many friends in downtown London, where he resided. He enjoyed attending summer music festivals in Victoria Park and feeding the ducks in Harris Park. Glen had been an auto body technician by trade and was known, at one time, as being “the best auto body guy in the city of Windsor.” He was mechanically-minded and could fix anything. Glen was the quintessential “sharp dressed man”, always looking his best. He was an old soul with a compassionate nature who played records on a turntable and had no interest in having a cell phone or computer. He wrote many letters to his family over the years, right up to the time of his passing. If a letter arrived in your mailbox, you knew it had to be from Glen! Cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy and donations to an organization that makes peoples’ lives better would be appreciated and may be made through London Cremation Services (519)672-0459 or online at www.londoncremation.com. We will deeply miss our “Glenny”. May God bless his soul and may he be resting in peace for eternity.
