We've shared our lives these few years. You've held my hand; you held my heart. So many blessings, so few tears - yet for a moment, we must part. - Author Unknown

"Letter to the Family
April 30, 2021
Don was away from Windermere on the Mount for a relatively short time, but when he was here, we were so grateful for the friendship that he generously shared with so many of us.
His presence around the mezzanine, the courtyard and other areas on the premises always brought out interesting and pleasant stories of his life and work experiences as he recalled his great years in Grand Bend. Don routinely attended the men’s coffee hour, was a regular at the movies in the theater and always enjoyed escorting a friend there. He also played and won a lot at the weekly bingo games, took part in the many sports activities of baggo, ladder ball, bocce and competed and won many medals at the Mount Olympics.
Thank You Don for your wonderful smile, the pleasant company around the Mount and especially the time you shared at the bar in the pub during the Friday afternoon cocktail hour. For sure your advice, over a glass of red wine, to the ladies was always very interesting and very much appreciated!
…. Don, Mr. Dean, You will be missed!

My condolences to the Dean family.
I worked with your Dad at the London Township Road Department. His kind and gentle manner was evident each and every day. He was a very good Road Superintendent. It was always nice to see your Dad and Mom at Township social events. I think of your Dad often.
David Elston.

Cousins Bobbie and Sally have so many good memories of Don and Lorna… Especially summers at Kitchigami and regular cousin get togethers. Don and Chuck were a mischievous duo and enjoyed each other‘s company. We will always think of Don with love. Our condolences to Don’s family.

I knew your family when you lived in Wallacetown. My maiden name was Sloan. I babysat for your mom and dad and Julie was a flower girl at my wedding in Wallacetown United Church in 1968. Your dad made me a beautiful cedar chest as a wedding gift, which I still enjoy to this day. I haven't seen your family since you left Wallacetown, but I still have many fond memories of you. I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a wonderful man.

I was very fortunate to have worked with Don at the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors. Don taught me as much about life and faith as he did about the work we had to do. He was so proud of his family and Lorna was certainly the love of his life. My husband and I express our deepest sympathy to his family and close friends. Don was certainly a great guy!
