Obituary of Emily Kristine Enns

ENNS (EINARSON), EMILY KRISTINE
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, Ontario on Wednesday October 2nd, 2019 in her 90th year. Beloved wife for 63 years of Henry Harold Enns. Loving mother to Mark (Linda Armstrong) Florence (Mohamed) London, Ontario. Dear grandmother to Fatima (Fayez), Yusuf, Hassan, Khadeeja, Nasrudeen ,Usaamah, Yaseen, Aaeysha and great-grandmother to Zara, Kareem and Asyia. Missed by Peter, Herta and Cathy. Predeceased by her parents Gudbrandur Einarson and Mary Sigvaldson and siblings Henry, Lloyd and Pauline.
Emily was born in Winnipeg in 1930 and graduated from Winnipeg General Hospital’s nursing program in 1951 retiring from the VON in the early 1990s. Emily was a generous and compassionate person who spent her life caring for others. She was an integral member of her church which provided for many life- long friendships. Emily was a proud Icelander. She had many interests including gardening, ceramics and a tremendous love for music. She will be missed by many.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, 600 Lawson Rd., London on Wednesday October 9, 2019 at 11am followed by a private interment at Woodland Cemetery, London ON.
