Obituary of William Nelson Walkom

WALKOM, Wm. Nelson “Nels” The family of Nels Walkom, in his 91st year, wish to announce his passing on Thursday April 28, 2022, peacefully at University Hospital, London, due to COVID complications. Dad was pre-deceased by his parents, LeRoy and Mary Watt (Grinney), his brothers and their spouses, Cecil (Anna), Arthur (Evelyn), Keith (Louise), Kenneth (Maureen) and his sisters and their spouses, Madeline (Ross) Pridham, Gladys (Lloyd) Aitcheson, Iva (Adam) Bell, Ina (John) Frank, Mary (Frank) Campbell and nephews Allan Campbell, Brian Walkom, Bill Kerr, Steven Walkom and Lanny Pridham. Dad is survived by his children Sheree (Al) Sarachman, Dean (Kim Robertson), Kim Levesque (Rick Wade) and Heather. His grandchildren, Mirium (Nikos), Matthew (Lauren), Jordan (Jasmine), Brandyn (Hannah), Maddison (Joel), Dennis, Christopher, Hannah, Libbey and his great-grandchildren, Evan and Alyssa, are all going to miss his sense of humor and hanging out with “Gramps”. Dad loved to watch his Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs as well as Tiger Woods at the Masters. Dad requested to be cremated and a private family get-together to celebrate his life. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at University Hospital, A4th floor, for their compassion and support during his final days.
