We spent many happy hours at the Weir household when we were children and our parents were visiting with Glenn’s folks. On occasion Glen babysat us and that was always a fun Tim! I was saddened to hear of his death and offer my sincere condolences to his family.

One wonderful memory I have is taking my brothers David and Donald to Montreal by train to see Glen play. Liz and Glen generously hosted us for a meal and overnight, very generous when you consider how busy a life they had in Montreal. It was always nice to see you all and the family at the reunions we used to have. I am so sorry to hear of Glen's passing, remember him fondly and am thinking of you all during this sad time.

The Weir's bought my Grandmother's house in Beaconsfield Quebec and quickly became treasured friends of Bill and Winn Todd, and family.
We shared many BBQ's, good times and minor shenanigans instituted by Bill and Glen.
Elizabeth, Winn and families were not part of this and shouldn't be considered for prosecution, LOL!!
Glen was an inspirational person, always putting others ahead of himself.
He will always be here for us, allowing a smile or a tear.
God bless Elizabeth and the Weir family.
Love, Kevan and Lyne Todd, Heather, Bruce and Bryan. todd787272@aol.com Dallas,Texas

I grew up in Montreal in the 1970's as a youngster and the Alouettes always were my favourite team and Mr. Weir was a personal favourite on a team of all-stars during my childhood. He was a frequent guest on CKGM radio with Ralph Lockwood and I will always remember the morning call when Ralph phoned Glen's room on a grey cup week, and it was hilarious as I think Glen had a late night... A great player but also a great friend of Montrealer's and the community at that time. There are too many players during his time in Montreal he played with but lets just say he was a team leader and a veteran every coach and player could count on.
My condolences to the family on your loss but I am sure the stories and remembrances at his celebration of life will give comfort at this difficult time.

Sincere sympathies to all the Weir family and friends. As an assistant trainer for the Alouettes Glen was not a regular to the trainers room. He was a tough individual and seldom complained if he was hurt. Always smiling and a pleasure to be around. RIP Fuzzy. You will be missed

To the Weir family sincere sympathy on the loss of Glen. As a former neighbour from Richmond Street Dorchester I have great memories of the family and the
fun times we enjoyed growing up together. I well remember how proud “our little village” was of Glen with his athletic success and his football career from Dorchester High School to the Montreal Allouettes. Rest In Peace.Shelley (Reading) McKeen

I did not know Glen at all , other than being a super Alouette fan ( and still am ) when Glen enjoyed a stellar career with the Als. Clearly from the obituary and comments, he was a very well liked human on and off the football field . My condolences to the family and thank you for posting these wonderful pictures.

My thoughts to Glen's family and friends.
I met Glen at a Ti-Cat recruitment camp and played against him when he was with the London Lords.
Glen kept true to his small-town roots and was a fierce competitor but a genuine "good guy".
I'm happy he had a fine family who I know will carry on his memory.
