Obituary of Yvonne Elizabeth Wilson

Peacefully at University Hospital with family by her side on Friday June 9, 2023, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Allan (2021) Yvonne will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Kathryn Dunn (Brian) and Peter Wilson (Bonnie) She was a wonderful and caring Grandmother to Jason (Vania), Andrew (Michelle), Sarah (Phillip), Michael (Jessica) and Sean (Julia). Adoring Great Grandmother to Aleah, Mya, Adeline, Mila, Fallon, Statham, Scarlett, Finley and Roman. She was loved and will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Yvonne loved her garden, time at the cottage and always had at least 10 library books on hand to read. She especially loved all animals and was a wonderful caregiver over the years to her grand dogs and cats. Yvonne and Allan shared many happy memories, adventures and travel destinations during their 67 years of marriage. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, her vibrant sense of fashion and her ability to make strangers feel like friends. Yvonne was the official photographer of the family. She was never without her camera at any family event. She faithfully gave copies of the treasured photos to all who attended. We will be eternally grateful for the love she shared with all of us, she will be incredibly missed by all. A special thank you to friends and staff at Masonville Manor for making Yvonne’s stay these past two years an enjoyable experience. Thank you to the staff at University Hospital for your care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A family celebration of life will be held later this summer.
