Obituary of Janet Elena Mulvagh

With heavy hearts, the family of Jan Mulvagh announces her passing at home on July 4, 2023, in her 80th year. Loving wife of the late Tom Mulvagh, dear Mom to Scott Andrew Brown (Tracy), Laura Ann Lough (Dave), Laura Kathleen Bomers (Adam). Stepmom to Chris Mulvagh, Stephen Anstey (Anna) and Dave Anstey (Silvia). Proud Gramma of Ashley (Matt), Alexander (Ioana), Cara (Mac), Erin, Meagan, Ben, Michael, Eli and Owen. Great Gramma to Madison. Predeceased by her parents, Alexander Ferris and Mary (nee Simmons), her sister-in-law Leah Mulvagh, and brother-in-law Doug LeBreton. She is survived by her brother Terry Ferris (Bonnie), sister Mary Lou Rudell and brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Marjory LeBreton, sister-in-law Kay Stanley, and Jan's many nieces and nephews. Jan grew up in London and lived in Toronto, Fort Lauderdale, Ottawa (where she spent many years and had a successful career in the Senate), Peterborough, and back to London, where she spent the last 19 years. Jan loved baking, and her apple pies and butter tarts were a favourite of family and friends. Jan's greatest legacy will live on in her children and grandchildren. A special thank-you to Jan's neighbours and building management for their on-going support. Jan loved where she lived. As per Jan's wishes, cremation has taken place, a celebration of a life well lived will be held at a later date. Donations to the Terry Fox Foundation or the CNIB can be made if desired.
