Obituary of Blake Dunlop

December 29, 1944 - December 10, 2023 Surrounded by his loving wife, son, and daughter, Blake passed away peacefully at home in London, Ontario on Sunday December 10, 2023 in his 79th year. Blake was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Dunlop for 47 years. He was the proud father of Michael Dunlop and Katherine Sinke (Drew). Loving grandfather of Makena, Kaia, Beckham, and Leia Sinke. Predeceased by his mother Ida, father John, & sisters Pat and Norma. Blake was born and raised in London, graduating from Sir Adam Beck. He attended the University of British Columbia and adventurously traveled the world before returning to Ontario where he met Elizabeth, the love of his life, moved together to British Columbia and married on October 22, 1967. Following the birth of his children and several years of enjoyment on the west coast, Blake and his family returned to London. His son and daughter brought him a lifetime of joy as he immersed himself in all of their sports activities. Blake’s pleasures included traveling with his wife, reading, and watching sports. He had a soft spot for dogs and will be greatly missed by his treasured dog Abby. Blake’s legacy will live on through his son, daughter, and four grandchildren. Elizabeth will keep his memory close to her heart forever. An open house for family and friends to celebrate his life will take place at a later date.
