Obituary of Thelma Joyce Wannamaker

Thelma Wannamaker (nee Cove) of London,formerly of Windsor Ontario, died peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital, June 12 2024, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late James “Russell” Wannamaker (1973) and partner of Michael Mercer (1980). Lovingly remembered by her son Wayne Wannamaker (Karen) of Goderich and daughters Lori Pilgrim (Paul) of Goderich and Barb Boulanger (Mike Pafford) of St Thomas. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Sadie Wannamaker (Alec Harmer), Sarah Wannamaker (Bob Publicover), Heather Evans (Barry), Dale Boulanger and Katie Wang (Jamie) and great grandchildren Veronica, Grayson, Judah and Rose. Survived by her brother Walter Wannamaker (Penny) of Kakabeka Falls. Predeceased by brother Ron Wannamaker and sister Mae Donnelly. Mom was a loving, generous person and a gifted artist with a passion for lighthouses and old mills. She also enjoyed genealogy, leaving the family with a rich knowledge of their history. Family meant the world to her and Mom’s greatest joy was her grands and great grands. Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. Celebration of Life for Thelma will be held July 7th from 1-4pm at the Meneset Recreation Club, 33809 Airport Rd, Goderich, ON N7A 3Y2.
