Obituary of Mary Jacqueline Stevens

It is with profound sadness that the family of Jackie Stevens announce her passing on September 6th in London, Ontario. Beloved sister and best friend of Lorie (Judy), loving mother to Craig (Laura), Kent (Tanya) and much-loved grandmother to her three incredible grandchildren Noah, Asha, and Reagan. Predeceased by parents Jack and Jean Hill. Jackie devoted her life to her family, and her profession as a teacher with the Elgin County Separate School Board. She was a coach, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a mom, and a grandmother, her generosity was without limits. Her greatest passion, over the last two decades, has been her cherished grandchildren. And through them, she lives on. In Noah, her love of athletics and collecting. In Asha, her love of art and storytelling. And, in Reagan, her humility and sense of humour. Jackie was, in every way, the bedrock of our family. She was a stone that could never be pushed over, but that was polished perfectly. In keeping with Jackie’s wishes there will be no funeral, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jackie’s life is forthcoming and will be announced later. Jackie, there is no person who has ever met you, that will ever forget you. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jackie, are asked to consider London Regional Cancer Centre. Please join family and friends to celebrate the life of Jackie Stevens on October the 5th. We will be gathering at Pondvalley Manor on 8007 Centennial Rd. #2, St. Thomas, N5P 3S6. We will start at 3, with stories and memories beginning at 4, and we will end around 6. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Pondvalley Manor is a beautifully rustic, that is fully accessible, with a lovely barn, areas to take a short walk, full-service bathrooms, and abundant parking. If weather is inclement, there is more than enough room indoors.
