Obituary of Fritz Ronge

A resident of Chatham-Kent for over 65 years, Fritz Ronge passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024 at Blenheim Community Village Long Term Care Home in his 91st year. Born in Germany in 1934, immigrated to Canada in 1957 travelling throughout Ontario and eventually settled in Chatham-Kent. Fritz was a lifelong carpenter, and life-time member of the Carpenter’s Union (Local 1256) where he retired from in 1995. Forever missed by his wife of 57 years, Yolande (Coucke). Survived by his daughter Kim Ronge, and step-children Lena McRoberts, Mark Hauspie (Leslie), Simonne Lewis (Stewart), Rick Hauspie (Margarite), Sherry Chambers (Brian). Fritz is predeceased by his step-daughter Magda Bray (1992), son-in-law Bill McRoberts (2021) and grandson Chris Hauspie (2023). He will be fondly remembered by his 25 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Honouring Fritz’s wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be held at a later date.
