Obituary
Obituary of Michael Lloyd Williams
With broken hearts, we say bye for now to Mike Williams of London Ontario who passed away on November 19, 2024, aged 64. Predeceased by parents Herbert and Margery Williams, and best friend forever, Sandy Nelson. Survived by sisters Wanda Engelbrecht (Charlie) and Darlene Williams. Groovy uncle Scrooge to Megan Sundercock.
Papa, roommate, fishing partner and mentor to Jordan Turner (Emily). Sadly missed by his fur baby Bubbles. Wherever he went, so did Bubbles. Everyone in the apartment building knew his happy smile and outgoing personality, not always by Mike but often by Bubbles dad.
Loved like a father and grandfather by Jon Lariviere, Josh Lariviere, Jesse Beatty and all their children whom he adored. His best memories were when he was with his chosen family. Mike appreciated the friendships he built with some special people in his building and always enjoyed their company and kindness.
Mike grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and truly loved working at Algoma Steel. He was a bush guy and if he could have, he would have spent every minute with a fishing rod in his hand enjoying the beautiful nature around the Soo. He relocated to London for work and stayed, although very much missed home. He was a tremendous caregiver to his parents as they aged and if you knew him, you know he was that kind of guy. Always giving, always trying to help and would share his last cent with anyone who needed it. He had knowledge of the oddest things that most of us do not and although his appearance did not show it, he loved to learn and was interested in current events and watched many documentaries. He had experienced more than most of us, good and bad, and he triumphed over it and he remained a funny, polite and genuinely kind man.
Mike has been cremated and his ashes will be spread at his favourite fishing hole at a future date.
IF I’M MISSIN’, I’VE GONE FISHIN’
