I had the pleasure and honour of working with Del when she was President of The London Chamber of Commerce and we got to know each other quite well during the years when she was President Elect, President and then immediate Past President. We had a lot of fun together and she brought some great new events to the organization. She was the 2nd female to hold the role of President and she did it as she did everything, with dignity, class and honour.
My heartfelt condolences to out to all her friends & family. She truly was a one-of-a-kind lady who will be missed by many.

In loving memory of Del (that's short for Del-icious, Del-ectable, Del-ightful)
I was just listening to a song on the radio and I thought of you. Thank You For Being A Friend. Most commonly known as the theme song for the Golden Girls. So here are some of the lyrics
Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down a road and back again
Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant
I'm not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
My hat is off, won't you stand up and take a bow
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
Well, you would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
Thank you for being a friend
The bit about if you threw a party and invited everyone you knew, well that is what reminds me of you. Your whole life has been one big party, and you threw the doors wide open and invited everyone you knew.
We are Winter Friends, we only had a few short months each season to spend together, but Lady we crammed so much into that time, had enough fun together to keep us going for the whole year. The moonlit snowshoes, bonfires (always got the guys to carry the logs...good delegation...) the skiing, the deckchairs at East Peak, the picnics in the snow, the happy hours, the appys, the Superbowl parties, the quiet dinners, the cocktails, your incredibly good hot crab dip, Aussie Day party. I remember us saying that between your friends & ours, we kept Heavenly going, even in the quiet years, we should've got a commission from the Tahoe Tourist Board.
And the reason that you both are surrounded by so many people is that you and Rob are just both so very, very nice. Kind, open, honest, accepting, caring, giving. You make everyone you ever meet feel special & loved. Friends like you two, you grab them with both hands and hang on tight!
So Del, Thank You For Being A Friend. My Hat Is Off, Why Don't You Stand Up & Take A Bow...
Love always from both of us, and all the Aussie's in these photos whose lives you have touched. Xxx

Rob and Family,
Del was a special lady and a dear friend. She was an ‘energy’ we all were lucky to have had the opportunity to know.
Her love of family and friends will be a force forever .
Know the next time I sit on a bench in St.Stephen’s Green, Dublin, I will watch for her and I’ll remember our chance meeting there in 2006. A very special time and a beautiful memory, ( one of many).
